IMN OnTrack takes a closer look at one track a local artist has put on the web for your perusal, and give you a little history behind the music as well. We’re timing this look to coincide with that artist’s performance in the coming week, but our real goal is to get local music on your computer or portable media player. Think of this like the musical equivalent of a food court sample.

How can something so wrong feel so right? Lines of Nazca submit for your approval rock and power pop with a slightly disturbing twist. Oh sure, you’ll nod your head and enjoy the superb songwriting and gleeful delivery, but something still seems a little . . . twisted. Is it the prolonged effects of the Kokomo Hum? One can only speculate.

As proof, we offer you “Over,” possibly the most poppy song about stalking we at IMN have ever heard. If this isn’t your fancy, go ahead and try some other songs. Lines of Nazca has five albums worth of mp3 files up on their website for the taking.
